Favorite e-mail marketing software: UnityMail Express

A very common question I get: What software do you use
to e-mail The Levison Letter to all your subscribers?

The answer is, I don't use the kind of software that sits on
your hard drive. Instead, I signed up with a hosting service
run by MessageMedia, based in Huntsville, Alabama, and
pay for the service on a monthly subscription basis. (The
Application Service Provider model lives!) Here's how it
works:

When you fill in the registration information I ask
for on my Web site's "subscribe" page
http://www.levison.com/subscribe/
and hit "JOIN," the data instantly moves to the UnityMail
Express server. I access the data and mail out my newsletter
using my Web browser as the interface.

I like UnityMail Express a lot. I maintain total control of
my secure database, and I have full access to advanced
customization, URL tracking features, and personalization.
